Last year, Gionee was on the news not because of their new smartphone launch but with the bankruptcy filing. Gionee’s Chairman Liu Lirong lost almost $144 million to gambling in casinos and it led to filing bankruptcy. It’s nearly a year, and there were no announcements from the Chinese company until today. Through their WeChat account, Gionee announced M11 & M11s with a dewdrop notch.
This is a comeback for the company as it’s the first time after several months, the Chinese company has announced a new smartphone series. There wasn’t much information posted, but a few details are mentioned.
Both M11 & M11s comes equipped with a 6.4-inch display, 6GB RAM & 128GB onboard storage. In addition to that, both smartphones feature a 13MP front-facing camera and 16+5MP dual camera on the rear side. Both phones will have a 4,000mAh battery with the intelligent power management system. Speaking of the intelligent power management system, it’ll have the power saving mode, lock screen automatic memory cleaning, high power consumption applications reminder, etc. With this power management feature, both the phones will last a full day without charging.
There was no information on which processors that’s inside these phones, but there’s a possibility that both of them will be powered by MediaTek chipset, and of course, M11s will have a better chipset than M11. The pricing and availability are unknown at this moment, but they might be launched in the middle of this month and soon be available to purchase.
