Honor, Huawei’s sub-brand, has confirmed its flagship Honor View 10 smartphone will be available in India at Rs 29,999. The AI smartphone will go on sale starting from January 8 and is exclusively sold on Amazon India. Those interested can now enroll for the device, as the pre-registration is already open a few days back.
The smartphone is powered by company’s own HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset, which also includes a dedicated Neural Processing Unit for handling AI-related tasks. The Honor V10 comes in only 1 memory option – 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The device also supports expandable storage up to 256GB by using a microSD card.
The Honor V10 supports connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and 4G LTE. It runs EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo, and sports bottom-mounted speaker. The smartphone is powered by a 3,750mAh Li-Po battery along with support for Huawei’s proprietary fast charging feature.
At Rs 29,999, the Honor View 10 will give a tough competition to the OnePlus 5T, which starts at Rs 32,999. This is one of the best smartphones from Honor, the sub-brand of Huawei. The phone also includes a vibrant 18:9, edge-to-edge screen, stellar dual rear cameras, blazing fast performance, great build quality and elegant looks.
Honor also intends to include features like this Animoji out of iPhone X into the View10. The smartphone’s camera also includes specific modes such as flower, food, which get activated since the camera recognizes the object in focus. Honor calls for this “Real-Time Scene and Object Recognition technology” and it also applies to scenes. The company is also working with Microsoft to optimise Microsoft Translator for Honor V10 and permit instantaneous translation for a text written in another language.
