Thomson, a leading brand in the affordable online TV market in India has launched its first 4K Android TV series in India. As of now, they are the only brand accomplished this manufacturing the whole product line up in India, honoring the ‘Make in India’ initiative. This premium line up will be compiled by 4 display size options – 43 inches, 49 inches, 55 inches and, 65 inches.

The entire premium line up will come with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, Google Assistant and Chrome Cast support built-in. The remote will also have Google Play and Netflix hotkeys. The new series also supports Bluetooth 5.0; the entire line up is powered by Quadcore A53 Processor and Mali T860 GPU coupled with 2.5GB RAM and 16GB ROM.

On the audio department, they also did not hold back and added support of Dolby Audio and DTS TruSurround system.

Even though the new lineup is the premium segment, Thomson has tried to keep the price as low as possible. The 43 inches model costs ₹ 29,999, 50 inches costs ₹ 34,999, 55 inches costs ₹ 38,999 and the higher model of 65 inches is priced at ₹ 59,999.

According to a recent report, online TV sales have spiked 20% compared to older models. As 2nd and 3rd tier cities in India is getting modernized day by day, Thomson is relying on this strategy and started selling the TVs on Flipkart and expecting to take a big chunk out of Samsung 4K TV segment.
