Today, Facebook has made another move to make itselft stronger on the world wide web, and that is adddition of a new feature that will enable people to send or receive money between friends.

The process of sending or receiving money is very simple and secure, here’s how you can use it. Just follow these steps.

To send money, just follow these steps:

  1. Start a message with a friend
  2. Tap the $ icon and enter the amount you want to send
  3. Tap Pay in the top right and add your debit card to send money

To receive money:

  1. Open the conversation from your friend
  2. Tap Add Card in the message and add your debit card to accept money for the first time

This is as simple as that. And Facebook has assured that the process is completely secure and they will use industry standard security measures and encryption to make it safe and secure for people. Just you need a Visa or MasterCard (currently only the cards issued by any US bank will be accepted). Once you add a debit card, you can create a PIN to provide additional security the next time you send money. On iOS devices you can also enable Touch ID, which adds another level of authentication for making your payments safe and secure over Facebook Messenger. This new payment feature will be available in the US across Android, iOS, and desktop. However, Facebook has mentioned that just like any kind of EFT payments, it may take some time (depending upon the bank) for the payments to be processed, but this is certainly a good and useful feature for those who want easy, fast and secure money transfer options round the clock.
