Videocon Mobiles, one of the many local Mobile phone makers in India, better known for their TV products across the country, today introduced the Videocon VA81M. The beautifully designed tablet, with a premium-feel back cover, runs Android 4.4 (not the latest though, with Android M developer previews dropping this Google I/O) and a 7″ WSVGA screen (not the best, but among the top most you can find at this price) with considerably wide viewing angles for all videos, games and online browsing.

2MP rear camera  is present along with a VGA front camera, both of them not specifically designed for application, but handle simple day-to-day photos and video calling fairly well enough. It has a 1.3 GHz Dual Core processor, 512 mB RAM, and 4 GB  of internal storage which is expandable to 32 GB via a SD Card.

The device has built in Wi-Fi, Dual SIM support, Voice Calling, Video Calling, A-GPS Navigation, Bluetooth, and almost all other features for the normal day-to-day user; and being priced at Rs. 4900 (~$75) it is certainly to be one of the Top Tablets under 5K INR category.

Mr. Jerold Pereira, CEO, Videocon Mobile Phones said,

“As on-the-go connectivity is driving the fast and smart interactivity, we aim to cater to the needs of hyperactive consumers with the launch of the VA81M tablet. The tablet is the new addition to our innovative portfolio of affordable and rich-featured devices. Going apt with the consumers’ demand of large screen and hot features, the Videocon VA81M tab offers a flawless gaming and multimedia experience to enable an engaging user experience”.
