New Instagram Logo: Probably the most epic design fail of 2016
Instagram just redesigned their app and also, the logo was redesigned for the first time of the history of Instagram but probably this is the most epic design fail in the tech and social media industry. All over Twitter, people are ranting about how terrible it is and majority of the users are willing to get back to the old Instagram logo. Eventually memes started surfacing on the web and some of the reactions are hilarious.

However, here’s a GIF about how the logo was designed and looks like the Instagram design team spent a lot of time having a few cups of coffee.

Meanwhile, other apps like Layout, Boomerang and Hyperlapse also got new logos.
Ian Spalter, the head of design at Instagram, said the new app icon—a simple white outline suggesting a camera against a gradient of pastel colors—is a distillation of the original.
“As a part of our process, we also asked people at the company to draw the Instagram icon from memory in 5 seconds,” Mr. Spalter said in a blog post. “Almost all of them drew the rainbow, lens and viewfinder.”
However, the UI has also got major changes. Now the UI looks clean and lacks distraction. However, even I think that the old Instagram logo actually looked better than this ‘bizarre looking childish logo’.
