Yesterday, Motorola unveiled their Moto G4 and G4 Plus and after that another phone has been added to the lineup- Moto G4 Play. The Moto G4 Play will go for sale in mid-summer of this year. However, no pricing details are available at this moment.
Moto G4 Play features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with a pixel density of 294ppi. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM and the Adreno 306 GPU under the hood. There is 16GB of storage onboard and the storage can be expanded upto 128GB using microSD. The phone supports single SIM (micro SIM slot). The phone runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.
The Moto G4 Play sports an 8-megapixel rear camera having f/2.2 aperture and LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The rear camera has some notable features- tap anywhere to capture, burst mode, auto HDR, panorama, drag to focus & exposure. The front camera has display flash, which is something new to Motorola device. Connectivity options include EDGE, 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It also has got important sensors like accelerometer, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor. The Moto G4 Play is juiced by 2800mAh battery. It also supports fast charging using a 10W charger, however the charges is not shipped with the phone.
Along with the phone, consumers will get two years of photo storage on Google Photos.
