xiaomi_logoXiaomi has been one of the fastest growing smartphone makers in India, with lots of handsets releasing each year, the brand d has gained huge popularity and reputation. They have been selling phones via [eafl id=14260 name=”Xiaomi-Flipkart” text=”Flipkart”] and [eafl id=14261 name=”Xiaomi-Amazon” text=”Amazon”]. Now, they are almost set to take it to the next level. According to a report on Gizmochina, the smartphone maker has submitted an application to the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion for opening single-brand retail stores in India.

Earlier, the company had launched its first Make In India phone, the Redmi 2 Prime and already they have a manufacturing facility in India. Xiaomi has been selling its smartphones via e-commerce sites and now, as 100% FDI is permitted in India, looks like they are willing to invest more and more in this country. Already they have a plant at Vizag, and with this step of opening single-brand retail stores throughout the country, Xiaomi will surely make its presence almost everywhere.
