Xiaomi has laying all its marketing staratgy in the Indian smartphone market, which is one of the fastest growing markets in the world and after announcing the Rs. 1,000 price ciut on Twitter, Xiaomi has slashed the price of Redmi 2 by Rs. 1,000 on all e-commerce sites and on the official Mi Store. It is now available for just Rs. 5,999 on Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal.

Redmi 2 is the successor to Redmi 1S,which got a lot of popularity in India after it was launched in March this year at a price of Rs. 6,999. This is the second time Xiaomi has reduced the price of its phones. Last week, Xiaomi made a Rs. 2,000 price cut on Redmi Note 4G.
