Asus announced ZenWatch 2 in partnership with Google

Asus announced the latest wearable- ZenWatch 2 running on Google’s Android Wear operating system. The design is refined comparing over to the earlier ZenWatch, made with high-quality materials that gives a premium look.

Design:

ZenWatch 2 is also made under the same tradition of fine watch craftsmanship, featuring a durable stainless steel case which is available in two sizes and 3 colors- Silver, Gunmetal and Rose Gold. A metal crown is given around the case that gives a new style to this wearable gadget. The display is protected by tough Corning® Gorilla®Glass 3 against the scratches and damage.

1. Physical design:

It is available with various straps complemented with different materials and colors.

  • A supple rubber strap comes in Blue, Orange, Red and Taupe colors – suits for athletes and users with active lifestyles or for causal users.
  • A soft, premium leather strap available in Khaki, Brown, Gray, Blue and Orange colors- suits for any user, fits for any situation.
  • A stainless steel link bracelet comes in Silver, Gunmetal and Rose Gold colors- matches for every wearer, giving a bold and luxury look.
  • ZenWatch 2 also comes with a gorgeous leather strap, embossed diamond pattern on it as of partnering with Swarovski®  

2.  Display personalization:

Asus ZenWatch 2 features instantly interchangeable software watch faces. Users can easily select based on style, mood or for particular occasion ( traditional, elegant face- for work, night out etc). Users can also customize their own faces using the all new Watch Face Land App to experience a new look on ZenWatch 2.

ZenWatch 2 is fully loaded with Android wear (powered by Google) making it a daily wearable gadget to attend incoming calls, read messages, notifications without even taking off the phone from pocket/bag. ZenUI Integration, FoneHelper, activity and fitness tracking ( using Next-Gen Wellness App) and Remote Camera are some of the main features in this new smartwatch.

The availability and the pricing of this wearable is not yet announced but it is expected that it may release in Q2 2015. Meanwhile Zensation- Computex 2015 is going on in Taipei ( Taiwan) where Asus revealed several gadgets.
